Our Projects for 2024-2025: Support the work of the Panhandle Crisis Center and Summer Reading Programs
Support the Panhandle Crisis Center
Eta Alpha provides support for women and children in crisis situations who are residing at the Perryton Crisis Center. The Crisis Center covers the counties of Lipscomb, Ochiltree, and Hansford and serves victims of sexual assault and domestic violence. Some of the services provided by the Center include the following: crisis intervention and advocacy, safe house for their victims and children, counseling and support groups, community education and employment training. Through the generous donations from our members we will be able to supply the Center with school supplies, teddy bears to officers answering domestic violence calls, birthday cake kits, personal and household items and Christmas gifts.
Support Summer Reading
In an effort to encourage reading among our younger citizens, Eta Alpha will be collecting and providing baskets of books it help support our schools summer reading program.
